 EarthCare's Annual awards announced
“EarthCare is a non-profit organization that relies on the public, community groups and businesses for support. This allows the organization to conduct numerous environmental programs and campaigns such as our dynamic education project and the green vacation challenge program stated,” Lloyd Manchester, a director of the Canadian EarthCare Society.
Manchester announced the following awards at EarthCare’s annual open house Xmas party last night December 15. They are:
Business of the Year Award Ehmann Printworx
Organization of the Year Award School District #23
Business of the Month Award Kiwanis Club of Kelowna
Volunteer of the Year Award Ken Lonquist
Outstanding Volunteer Contribution Award Basil Zailo
Long-term Service Award David Shaw
Katimavik Volunteer Appreciation Awards to Cedric Loiselle, Marie-Christine Bourgia and Sarah Smith
Manchester also stated that, “We wish all our members, supporters and the public the best of the holiday season and a greener New Year.”
